Trinity Tacks on Two More Wins

.

The Trinity boys soccer programs took on two opponents at home tonight and took home two more victories. The first game  started at 3:30 as the varsity faced Horizon Christian Academy from Cumming Georgia. The game started out at a fast pace and Horizon looked like they came ready to play. It didn’t take long though for Trinity to get on the board with a goal from James Hayley. Just a few minutes later James scored again. The game ended with Trinity pretty much dominating throughout the whole afternoon. It was a blowout as soccer games go with Trinity scoring a total of seven goals, and Horizon scoring only once.

Putting points on the board for Trinity were James Hayley (3), Adam Weissinger (2), Elliot Nell, and Chase Golden.

Trinity’s varsity record is 10-0-1

For the second game, Trinity faced Auburn Thunder (part of the Auburn Soccer Association) at 5:30. This is the elite soccer club in the Auburn, Alabama area. Youth from all over East Central Alabama play on over a dozen teams in age groups from Under 9 to Under 19. Trinity fielded a group of boys to face their under 16 team. Both Trinity and Auburn Thunder are well coached, talented, and fiercely competitive teams, which made for an exciting game to watch. Auburn took several shots at Trinity’s goal, but Trevvor Vordenbaum was able to keep them all out. Winston Durbin scored for Trinity and the game ended with a 1-0 win for the Eagles.

If you haven’t been out to see TCS play soccer, you really should. This is an amazing group of young men, both on and off the field.
