Short Film: The Boat House

Here is a video I made last week in memory of my dear friend Dewey Posey.

This video was shot at or around the boat house at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia, where Dewey spent his time every chance he got. Sometimes he was there in service as a faithful volunteer to the guests. Other times he was there to go fishing. Dewey will probably always be known as the “The Legend of the Lake” for his uncanny ability to catch big bass, huge bream, and three pound shellcrackers.

Built in 1950, the boat house is one of the original structures at Callaway. It is on Mountain Creek Lake. Many of us who enjoy the rich heritage of fishing at Callaway consider Mountain Creek Lake to be the crown jewel of the gardens.

Outdoor footage was captured by a Canon HV30. In some shots I used a wide angle lens and in some shots I also used a polarizing filter. Indoor shots were taken with a Canon T1i.
