Trinity Band Room Receives Facelift and Addition
The band program at Trinity has enjoyed a rich legacy for many, many years. Having been originally led by Pam Kenney, taken over by Mike Stough, and most recently coming under the direction of Larry Cornelius, the TCS band program has been blessed with some of the best direction any school could hope for. The goal has been to play good music to the glory of God. Along the way the band and its individual players have been recognized by many honors and awards disproportionate to the size of the band.
During the 2012-2013 school year the band will be bigger than it has ever been before. As a result, the school has found itself in a familiar position of needing more space. Over the summer the decision was made (after exploring a numer of possible options) to add a 180 square foot addition to the end of the building and to give it a face lift of new vinyl siding all the way around. The cost of this project is $10,000. One anonymous donor has pledged half of that but the school still needs another $5,000 to cover the cost of the improvement. If you or someone you know has been blessed with an ability to give, please prayerfully consider making a tax deductible donation toward the building. It is uncommon for a school of our size to have such a remarkable band program and we are thankful to have to add more space and to have faithful supporters to facilitate this new change.
