Trinity JVs in Standoff with Grace Christian

The boys JV soccer team of Trinity Christian School played to a hard fought 4-4 tie with Grace Christian Academy of Fayetteville, GA on Friday in Opelika.  Trinity’s backs Ben Presley, Brady Watts, and Matt Humphrey blunted Grace’s offense throughout most of the contest, while Lee Givens played a tough and very physical game in goal.  Ellis Godwin led the Eagle attack with a pair of both goals and assists.  Stayley Goodner and Oliver Warmouth each scored off of one of Godwin’s dishes.  Coach Nouen Non utilized all 16 of Trinity’s players on a hot humid and mostly sunny late summer afternoon.  The Eagle JVs, now 1-0-1, will return to action at LaGrange Academy next Friday the 14th at 4:30 pm.  Trinity’s undefeated (5-0) varsity boys will face the Heart of Georgia Homeschool Vipers from Byron, at 4 pm Monday the 10th at home.
