Opelika Crush U-15 Edges Out TCS JV

On Friday afternoon at the Sportsplex, the Trinity Christian School JV boys soccer team slipped to the Opelika Crush U-15 club team by the score of 2-1.  Trinity led 1-0 through the middle of the second half based on a first half goal by William Patton off an assist by DJ Johnson.  The Crush then scored 2 goals in rapid succesion and was able to hold back the Eagle offense to secure the win.  Trinity backs, Lee Schuessler and David Paul Hemberg, and goalkeepers Lee Givens and Matt Humphrey managed to blunt the Opelika attack throughout most of the contest.  Both Opelika coach Rozi Osman and Trinity coach Noeun Non used their entire sides to deepen team experience.  The JV Eagles, now 1-2-1, return to action at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, October 2nd against Grace Christian Academy in Fayetteville, Georgia.
