“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, taking into captivity every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” II Corinthians 10:5
A major part of this blog is dedicated to my thoughts on Christian living. Maybe a bit of clarification is in order. What I really wish to express through this medium are my thoughts on how to think “Christianly” about everything. The longer I endeavor to walk with Christ, the more I become aware that this life is integrative. I used to think that my “church life” was separate from my work life, hobbies, and other interests. I have come to think of that quite differently now. More and more I find that I look at everything I do through a lens of biblical thinking. In years past, I would have dreaded this line of thinking, believing that it would be oppressive and just “un-fun”. That could not be farther from the truth. It is so liberating and adds so much joy to everything I do when I see the Lord’s workmanship in it all. As I parent my children, be a husband to my wife, do my job, or enjoy a day on the river or in a tree stand, I find that recognizing Christ’s Lordship over everything enriches the experience in a way I would have never thought imaginable.
